Mission

IdISBa is dedicated to promoting and leading the generation of innovative knowledge in health and its clinical translation through the creation of synergies between its research groups and other strategic partners, with the ultimate aim of improving citizens' health.

Vision

IdISBa aspires to grow and to be recognized as benchmark for excellence and scientific rigour by fostering research groups with national and international leadership. The institute seeks to equipthese groups to attract public and private funding for the development of high-impact translational R+D+I. Ultimately, this will enable the generation and transfer of knowledge to clinical practice and the industrial sector.

• Organization and Structure. To undertake a comprehensive redefinition of IdISBa's operational model, including governance and management structures, in order to optimise the fulfillment of its assigned functions.

• Collaboration and Internationalization. To strengthen the Institute's positioning and visibility, both internally and externally, through the establishment of collaborations and strategic alliances at local, national and international levels.

• Promotion of Translational R&D. To increase the financial, human, and material resources in order to consolidate clinical and translational research at IdISBa.

• People. To enhance the training, development and competitiveness of the Institute's human resources, fostering their scientific development and strengthening specific areas of activity.

• Innovation. To fully integrate innovation as a tranversal area within the portfolio of services offered by IdISBa professionals, reinforcing its contribution to knowledge transfer and societal impact.
