ISCIII Accreditation

In January 2019, IdISBa was accredited as a Health Research Institute by the Carlos III Health Institute.

This accreditation recognizes the capacity and excellence in research and the talent of IdISBa researchers, placing the Balearic Islands on the map of research and knowledge development in the biosanitary field.

In 2024, the Institute renewed its accreditation in accordance with Royal Decree 279/2016, of June 24, on the accreditation of biomedical or health research institutes.

HRS4R

The Health Research Institute of the Balearic Islands (IdISBa) has renewed the "HR Excellence in Research" award granted by Euraxess, recognizing IdISBa's commitment to the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R). It is worth noting that in January 2017, IdISBa was already awarded this distinction, becoming the first research institution in the Balearic Islands to obtain it.

The renewal of this award reinforces our commitment to quality and continuous improvement in research and demonstrates the importance we place on managing human resources in this field.

ISO 9001 in Biobank

The IdISBa Biobank has successfully renewed its ISO 9001 quality certificate, which it has maintained since 2022, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in the management of biological samples for biomedical research.

The ISO 9001 certification guarantees that the Biobank complies with international standards of quality, safety, and traceability, as well as the specific requirements of a biobank. This ensures donors, researchers, and participating clinicians that the management of activities within the Biobank is effective and strictly adheres to ethical and legal requirements. The recognition obtained highlights the excellence of this structure and its ongoing effort to provide a quality service to the research community.
