IdISBa is subject to current legislation on public procurement due to its nature as a public foundation within the public sector of the Regional Ministry of Health of the Balearic Islands and its status as a contracting authority.

The purpose of public procurement regulation is to ensure compliance with the principles of free access to tenders, publicity, transparency in procedures, competition, non-discrimination, and equal treatment among candidates, guaranteeing the efficient use of public funds through the selection of the most economically advantageous offer for IdISBa.

Contracts subject to harmonized regulation are governed by the consolidated text of the Public Sector Contracts Law, while contracts subject to non-harmonized regulation are governed by IdISBa's Internal Procurement Instructions. Additionally, IdISBa has instructions for the proper execution of contracted external services. In compliance with the principle of publicity that must govern public procurement procedures, our institute provides access to IdISBa's Contracting Profile and the CAIB Procurement Platform, which allow online publication of IdISBa's tender calls, awards, and all relevant documentation related to executed contracts.
