Resources and Equipment
The Flow Cytometry and Cell Biology Platform is located in modules I and F on level ‑1, and in Building S, ground floor, of the Son Espases University Hospital, occupying the following usable areas:
- 21.60 m² for flow cytometry and 28.6 m² for cell culture in Module F
- 17.25 m² in Module I
- 30.05 m² in Building S
Flow Cytometry Equipment:
- BD FACSVerse analyser (488, 640 and 405 nm lasers; 8 fluorescence channels).
- BD FACSAria Fusion Sorter (488, 640 and 405 nm lasers; 14 fluorescence channels).
- BD FACS Assistant Lyse Wash for sample preparation.


Equipment in Cell Culture Rooms
- Laminar flow hoods: 6 Telstar Bio-IIA biological safety cabinets.
- Incubators: 6 units with temperature, humidity and CO₂ control.
- Inverted microscopes: Olympus, LEICA and 2 Zeiss (with fluorescence detection).
- Cryopreservation equipment: liquid nitrogen tanks and ultralow freezers.
- Cell counter: Countess3.
- Electroporator for eukaryotic cells: Lonza Nucleofector.
- Tissue dissociator: Miltenyi GentleMacs Dissociator.
- Real‑time monitoring systems for cell growth/adhesion/migration: RTCA ACEA.


Other Equipment:
- Cellular metabolism analyser (96‑well plate format): Agilent Seahorse XFe96.
- 3D bioprinter: CellInk Bio X6.
