- Housing and care of experimental animals (supply of feed, water, bedding, and environmental enrichment structures).
- Supply of different strains of rats and mice from in‑house breeding.
- Management of animal colonies.
- Advice on handling, housing, feeding, reproduction, line maintenance, and welfare of experimental animals.
- Advice and collaboration in the development of procedures involving experimental animals (restraint, substance administration, sample collection, anaesthesia and analgesia, euthanasia, etc.).

Access to the Experimental Surgery and Animal Facility platform outside regular hours must be requested from the responsible staff, providing justification.
