Evidence-Based Medicine Unit (EBM-U)
The Evidence-Based Medicine Unit (EBM-U) of the IdISBa has more than 15 years of experience and is part of the Cochrane Ibero-American Network as an affiliated institution, through the Cochrane Illes Balears group.
Its mission is to improve informed decision-making by promoting access to reliable evidence, training in evidence-based practices and support for local and international research, strengthening collaborative networks to improve public health in the Balearic Islands and beyond.
It offers specialized services in systematic reviews and advanced methodologies, including protocol design, literature search strategies, data screening and analysis, as well as risk of bias assessment. It also conducts quantitative and qualitative syntheses through meta-analyses and meta-syntheses, and uses GRADE Evidence to Decision (EtD) frameworks to ensure informed decisions based on high-quality evidence.
